Physical education teacher candidates demonstrate dispositions essential to becoming effective professionals

This artifact was included because it shows that I am communicating in a respectuful way. I was instructing my students with the task they were involved in, and I was sensative to their needs and their troubles

YOGA
This artifact was included because it shows my ability to design an assessment to measure the students learning throughout the unit. The following artifacts are from EDU 434 where I had to teach a Yoga lesson and measure their learning at the end of the lesson.

Physical education candidates use effective communication and pedagogical skills and strategies to enhance student engagement and learning.

Implement effective demonstrations,explanations, and instructional cues and prompts to link physical activity concepts to appropriate learning experiences.

Lesson Plan.

The Lesson plan that is included shows my ability of working well in an inclusive classroom. It also demonstrates that I can create a lesson plan with a focus on progressions and sequences. The lesson plan that is included was submitted to PED 255……. This artifact was included because it shows that I was able to construct and devise a lesson plan for Trust activities. It shows my ability of working well within a classroom.

Physical education teacher candidates plan and implement developmentally appropriate learning experiences aligned with local state, and national standards to address the diverse needs of all students.

Activity Progression/ Trust Fall/ Project Adventure

The activitiy progression worksheet shows my ability to create a list of tasks for a unit to progressively move on to more complex tasks. When teaching and learning Trust activities it is important to take things step by step, and the Activity progression worksheet shows my capability to design an appropriate curriculum.

Skill and Fitness Based Competence



Physical education teacher candidates are physically educated individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to demonstrate competent movement performance and health enhancing fitness delineated in the NASPE K-12 Standards.


Demonstrates performance concepts related to skillful movements in a variety of physical activity.


Class List:



Harris has participated in physical activity for over 15 years. He has played many Interscholastic sports, and was capable of playing baseball at the collegiate level. Sports and physical acitivity is a big part of his life. Harris searches for new ways to participate and learn about new physical activities. Harris would like to spread the knowledge that he gains to his students. Sports and physical activity are a big part in Harris life. Throughout his stay here in Cortland he has done exceptionaly well in the Activity classes taken.
